In celebration of National Children’s Day, Dana Energy hosted a cheerful and memorable event for employees’ children, specifically designed to strengthen family bonds and raise awareness among parents about the importance of play and interaction with their children. This event, organized by our Culture Development Team as part of the “Wellbeing” project, aimed to promote health, happiness, and mental well-being among employees.

The event included Dr. Maryam Maleki, a child and adolescent counselor, and psychologist, who helped us emphasize the importance of mental health for both parents and children. It was carefully designed to highlight the vital role that play and interaction have in supporting healthy child development.

The event was divided into two separate sessions tailored to two age groups: 5 to 8 years and 8 to 11 years, allowing each group to benefit from educational and recreational programs suited to their developmental and emotional needs. In the first session, dedicated to children aged 5 to 8, 17 children, accompanied by either their mother or father, participated. With warm smiles, parents joined their children in a world filled with play and laughter, discovering the profound joy of playing with their children and realizing how simple interactions can significantly strengthen family bonds and promote mental tranquility.

The second session, for the 8 to 11 age group, hosted 13 children with their parents. This group engaged in games and exercises aimed at enhancing communication and cognitive skills and shared special moments with their parents. These activities were carefully chosen to create deeper, more effective connections between parents and children.

The games, though simple, were full of meaning. Parents and children, using basic and accessible materials, ventured into a world of interactive play. Throughout the program, counselors and specialists who organized the event discussed the importance of these activities, offering valuable insights into how play impacts children’s emotional and mental growth. The sound of children’s laughter and the sight of parents’ content smiles filled the Dana Hub, creating an atmosphere rich with joy and mental peace.

At the end of this heartwarming and positive event, each child received a small gift suited to their age and interests. These gifts were chosen to be both educational and entertaining so that even after the event, children could continue to enjoy the positive feelings from this day.

With this initiative, Dana Energy demonstrated its commitment to creating a family-friendly work environment and strengthening the emotional and psychological bonds between employees and their families. This is an event we hope to see more of in the future, with even greater participation from employees across more company locations.
